India has emerged as a global leader in low-cost carrier (LCC) market as reported by Tourism Breaking News and OAG or Official Airline Guide, a global travel data provider that offers information about airlines, including schedules, flight status, and connection times. The report reveals that Indigo accounts for 71% of India's total airline capacity surpassing the global average of 34%.
OAG has also mentioned that over the past decade, India's international travel market has grown on average by 4.5% per year, from 4.7 million seats in April 2014, to 7.3 million in April 2024. Surely this is a fascinating data for India and India Travel.
