New International Airport Inaugurated at Rajkot 

The most awaited International Airport in Rajkot is inaugurated on 27 July '23 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the presence of the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, and other dignitaries. This is an iconic event and a significant step towards bolstering the nation's aviation infrastructure and enhancing connectivity in the region. 


The new terminal building and the airside infrastructures are developed in a whopping land area of 2534 acres, a much-increased capacity than the earlier one. The new Greenfield Airport includes the construction of Runway, Apron, Parallel Taxi Track, and other facilities making the airport a landmark in aviation industry.



Vietnam to Extend E-Visa Validity

Vietnam is all set to extend the validity of e-visa, after its government gave its approval to extend visa reform measures. Effective August 1, the validity of the approved e-visa will be 90 days from the current duration of 30 days. India Drops Random Testing

In the light of declining trajectory of Covid-19 cases globally, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India, has revised the guidelines for inbound international travellers. New guidelines stated that the requirement for RT-PCR based testing of a random 2% of travellers entering India, will now be dropped with effect from 20 July '23. However, the travellers must be fully vaccinated and need to follow all recommended measures.
