Indigo Introduces More International Direct Flights

The leading low-cost carrier of India, Indigo is all set to introduce nonstop flights to Manchester and Amsterdam in July 2025 as per sources. This is going to be a great news for travelers from India to Europe looking for direct connections. Notably, Indigo flights to Manchester will be the only direct route connecting India to Northern England. As per the report, both Manchester and Amsterdam will have 3 flights weekly. In addition to that Indigo has also announced direct flights to Seychelles from Mumbai, Mumbai to Krabi and Bengaluru to Krabi.

MHA introduces Fast Track Immigration Program

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. Of India has recently launched Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Travellers' Programme (FTI-TTP) in order to provide faster immigration clearance for pre-verified travellers through automated e-gates using biometric authentication. This is applicable for Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals holding OCI Card. The applicants enrolling for FTI-TTP are required to upload the following documents as applicable:


Passport Size photograph (Of the same specifications as is used for Indian Passport)

The applicant's face including ears should occupy 3/4th of the space in the photograph

The photograph should not be more than six months old

The background of the photograph should be plain white

Scanned copy of Passport having minimum 6 months validity – front page containing photo & personal particulars and last page containing family details

Proof of Present Address

Scanned Copy of OCI card - both first page (Biographic details) and last page (Family and address details) separately

Lufthansa Group and Air India Announce Codeshare

Air India and Lufthansa Group have agreed to build on their longstanding codeshare partnership, which sees Air India enter into a new codeshare agreement with Austrian Airlines, as well as expand the existing codeshare agreements between Air India, Lufthansa, and Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS).

Lufthansa Group carriers will add their respective designator codes to Air India’s international services to 3 destinations from Delhi and Mumbai: Kathmandu, Melbourne, and Sydney. And customers of Lufthansa Group will now be able to connect to Air India’s domestic services to or from 15 points within India, namely Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Goa Mopa, Goa Dabolim, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Indian passport: Know the Key Changes

Indian passports will undergo a major change as the government introducing updates to application process and documentation.
