Schengen like Visa to be introduced in Gulf Countries at the end of 2024
A report by timesofindia.indiatimes.com reveals that an announcement is made from Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority stating a unified GCC Tourist Visa system similar to Schengen Visa will be established by the end of this year by the regional countries. According to UAE's Minister Of Economy this regional tourist visa will allow travellers to stay in six *GCC countries for more than 30 days.
Once this Visa system in implemented it will be convenient for visiting tourists to stay for a longer time and experience the diverse destinations of the GCC countries. Both leisure and business travel packages will be offered by the private sector.
*Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
