The Big Yashobhoomi Convention Center Launches

On September 17th, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the IICC YashoBhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi. YashoBhoomi Convention Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that features cutting-edge technology and infrastructure to facilitate biggest of the events that take place in and outside India. With over 70,000 square feet of event space and over 1.8 lakh square meters built-up area, "Yashobhoomi" aims to rank among the largest MICE venues of the world.

 

The convention center encompasses 15 distinct convention spaces, including the Main Auditorium, the Grand Ballroom, and 13 versatile meeting rooms. The Plenary Hall has the capacity to accommodate approximately 6,000 attendees, while the Grand Ballroom can graciously host around 2,500 guests.



Indigo & British Airways enter Codeshare Connect

According to a recent update, Indigo and British Airways has announced codeshare partnership that will boost better connectivity and allow British Airways to access more destinations in India. The following additional Indian routes now offered by British Airways on its existing network, to start from October 12.

  • Amritsar to London Heathrow via New Delhi

  • Kochi to London Heathrow via Mumbai

  • Ahmedabad to London Heathrow via Mumbai

  • Goa to London Heathrow via Mumbai

  • Thiruvananthapuram to London Heathrow via Mumbai (NEW)

  • Kolkata to London Heathrow via Mumbai

  • Rajkot to London Heathrow via Mumbai (NEW)

Vadodara to London Heathrow via Mumbai (NEW)



Vistara Announces Direct Flights

Vistara has recently introduced direct, 6x weekly flights between Mumbai and Frankfurt, starting from 15 Nov'23. This would be an additional connection from Mumbai to the existing 12 international destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Dammam, Dhaka, Dubai, Jeddah, London Heathrow, Male, Mauritius, Muscat and Singapore. Their long-haul routes, connecting Delhi with London Heathrow, Paris and Frankfurt are already popular among travelers.



Myanmar grants Tourist Visa on Arrival

Good news for the Indian tourists willing to plan for Myanmar Holidays. On a recent announcement, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has stated that Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) is open to normal passport holders of Indian nationality who are entering Myanmar for tourism. This will be effective from 30 Aug 2023 to 29 Aug 2024 and is only allowed for 30 days stay in Myanmar.





Philippines signs ASA with India

Reports say that the President of Philippines has recently signed Air Services Agreement (ASA) between India and the Philippines as the country is trying to tap Indian market with more exciting offerings. Among them e-visa and direct flights are on the cards already with their MiCE department ready to welcome guests from India. A positive effort for sure for both business travel and leisure.
