Foreign Tourist Footfall rises in First Half of 2024

A recent article from Times Of India has revealed that India has recorded 4,778,374 foreign travellers arrival in 2024. Although India is yet to bounce back to pre-Covid levels, but the exciting news is that in the first half of 2024, Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) reached 4,778,374, marking a modest increase from 4,380,239 during the same period in 2023. 


From tourism viewpoint, India has been successfully campaigning spiritual tourism, medical tourism, discovery of new interesting destinations across the nation. Similarly, Indian airlines are also expanding their international presence, adding new routes and increasing flight frequencies. The Ministry of Home Affairs have officially approved an Integrated Check Post (ICP) for foreign tourists holding e-visa. This move can significantly change the tourism landscape attracting more tourists in the picturesque islands via Port Blair seaport. Vista Dome trains to run on Kalka-Shimla route

According to a recent news from Times of India, the testing has already been done on the historic Kalka-Shimla route and it will be operational shortly.
