Operational Airport rises in India 2024

The number of operational airports in India has risen to a staggering figure of 157 in 2024 from 74 in 2014 as revealed from Ministry of Civil Aviation. The plan is to expand the number to 350-400 by 2047 as quoted by MOCA. 

This has occurred due a significant growth in the number of domestic passengers in India making the country a top spot for tourism.
