"Please bring all of them back from London”.
Read this article on how a film crew was brought back to Kolkata within a very short period of time.
We issued tickets to a crew of 37 passengers who travelled to London for a film shoot in the 1st week of March. The group was scheduled to return on 29th March’20 from London. On 16th March we received an SOS call from the office that the entire group is required to be brought back to Kolkata the very next day.
The job was extremely tough as all the airports of India were planning to enter the lockdown phase 1 due to the increasing COVID-19 cases. We couldn’t waste time and came back to office at 10.30pm to check the availability of seats on various airlines. All flights were experiencing a heavy and sudden rush as people were trying to return to India from all around the world.
After consistent efforts and communication with the airlines, we managed to issue fresh tickets for the entire crew at 03.30am in the morning for a flight which the crew took at 07.00am London time. The crew came back to Kolkata safely as we rejoiced their return.
